Dr. Bethany Steele

Dr. Steele has an undergraduate degree from LSSU and veterinary degree from MSU College of veterinary medicine. Dr. Steele has owned Caring Animal Hospital for 10 years. She has been married to her husband Bernie for 12 years and has 2 children. Also living at her home is her 11 year old cat Winter and 1 year old dog Fisher.

 

 

 

 

 


Cindy Downey

Cindy Downey has worked for the hospital for over 16 years and was part of the transition from Rooker Animal Hospital to Caring Animal Hospital. Has been married for 35 years to Harold who is retired from the U.S. Air Force, they have a son and a daughter-in-law and 2 1/2 grandchildren (Next one due in October!)

Over the years they have had a variety of animals including Black labs, chinchillas, a ferret and a rabbit, but currently have 4 Rottweilers, and are very active in UKC Agility and AKC Conformation.

 

 

 


Erica Kritas, LVT

Erica has worked at Caring Animal Hospital for since 2002. She has 2 children, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. She graduated from Baker College in Jackson, MI in 2005. She has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2007.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Shelly Winger, LVT

Shelly graduated from Murray State University in Kentucky with a Bachelor Degree in Animal Health Technology. She then received her veterinary technician license from the state of Michigan. She has a son, 2 cats, 1 terrier mix and 2 yellow labs (1 of which is active in competitive agility trials) Shelly has worked at Caring Animal Hospital since Dr. Steele first bought the practice.

Dr. Rachel  Harshbarger

Dr. Harshbarger is a 2003 graduate of MSU's College of Vet Med.  She has been doing relief work at Caring Animal Hospital since 2005.  Dr H shares her home with her husband, 2 children and a papillion named Niko.  Her special area of interest is in exotic pets such as birds and small mammals.
